Roy is also a good friend of Lynn Paxton who helps run the museum wich made it nice to have him around to give a glimpse of racings past from one of the true great competitors perspective.

He is a great guy, we were fortunate enough to have lunch with him and talk about racing and hot rods, old and new. If you ever get a chance, get over to PA in May for the Showdown and the museum. As a bonus, last year the world of outlaws were racing up the road at the grove the same weekend.
I know the car is a little newer than you wanted, but I thought some might like to see this one.

They were a chevy v-8 cut in half long ways to make an inline 4. He is still alive and when I ask him about the old days his eyes light right up and on he goes. And this is a shot of Jr. Taken from us too soon. This one gives me goosebumps. The picture says it all.. Yet it still happens at local Dirt tracks on occasion..
