Vacation/Cruises FAQs1. I'm interested in two of your FREE, 3-night cruises to the Bahamas or Mexico for my husband and me. What can you tell me about them? Both cruises (Bahamas and Mexico) adhere to similar formats, and are as follows: Day One: You'll embark on your cruise ship early in the afternoon on Day One. This will give you time to get acquainted with your surroundings and locate your spot on deck to enjoy your "Bon Voyage Party". In the evening, you will have your first gourmet meal in a beautiful and spacious dining room. After dinner, the curtains go up on the famous Las Vegas style show. Then you can try your luck in the ship's casino or dance in their Disco. Later you may enjoy a stroll on deck, enjoying soft music and the sounds of the sea outside, under a starlit sky. The sea has a way of perking appetites and you may want to delight in the abundance available from a delicious midnight buffet before bedtime. Day Two: You'll arrive at your Port-of-Call on Day two. So you'll need to be ready to explore and sightsee in a new and exciting land. You'll be offered a wide variety of tours, or if you prefer, you may adventure about on your own. You may decide to go snorkeling, or boating or just walk along some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Others will want to go shopping, for there will be plenty of bargains to be had from a fantastic array of local crafts. Time will fly on shore, but be sure to return to the ship in order to rest, nap and dress for the Captain's big Cocktail Party and Dinner on evening two. Day Three: Back on the open seas, you'll enjoy all the shipboard activities that have made these cruises famous. Whether you sun-bathe, swim in the pool, relax with a facial or engage in more duty-free shipping, save some energy for more gourmet dinning, dazzling entertainment and dancing on your last night at sea. Day Four: Your ship will dock early on day four, and it'll be time to say good-bye to new friends and take the last snapshots of a cruise to remember 2. Can we take additional Guest(s) with us on our vacation cruise? Absolutely. If you want to take along a third or fourth person call the cruise reservationist (813) 621-1777 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) and ask for the rates and options available to you. 3. What should we pack for our vacation cruise? Cruise vacations are casual by day. Pack like you would for any resort. In the evenings, ships vary as to dress. Consult with your cruise specialist regarding dress attire. 4. Do I make dining reservations once I'm on the ship? Yes. Consult your cruise specialist regarding main or late seating. Most ships can accommodate special diets, however this request must be made in advance. 5. Are there "nonsmoking" areas on your ships? Yes. Today virtually all ships have smoking and nonsmoking tables and/or sections. Let your reservations specialist know if you prefer nonsmoking. 6. Can we take our hair dryer or shaver on the cruise? Yes. Most ships have 110-volt outlets in the staterooms. 7. Can we celebrate a "special" day? It'll be our 20th anniversary? Yes. Please advise your cruise specialist of the occasion. Special Occasion packages such as canopies, chocolates, fruit and cheese trays, wine and champagne and floral bouquets are available. You can even arrange for a special private party. 8. What about tipping on board? Tipping is a matter of individual preference. A general rule of thumb is to plan for about $3.50 per person per day for your room steward and dining room waiter and about $2.00 per day for your busboy. Other shipboard personnel can be tipped for special services at your discretion. 9. What is there to do at night on board the ship? At night, life aboard a cruise ship really turns on. There's dancing and live entertainment in the nightclubs, discos and lounges, feature films, and casino gambling. 10. These cruises all sounds too good to be true. Are they? The only complaint we hear over and over again is that cruises end far too soon! Beyond that, it's hard to find any negatives. All you have to worry about is relaxing and enjoying your cruise vacation. 11. Will we have to pay our airfare to Miami or Los Angeles for our cruises to the Bahamas or Mexico? You will receive a great discount. We offer booklets of "flight checks" valued at $500.00 per booklet. You may receive one or two of these booklets. These flight checks are valid for airline ticket discounts for all major airlines: TWA, Northwest, Continental, Delta, U.S. Air, United and American Airlines. Flight checks are issued by one of the largest travel agents in the US. This travel agent will book you on the flight you need at very competitive rates. Then you can apply one of your flight checks for that flight. This will give you an additional 13 to 20% discount on the round-trip fare per person for that flight. 12. "Service to others", was Allen Price's motto; a briefly stated sentiment, but so appropriate of his character. In many ways Allen Price embodied all the people you have ever known who have had a positive influence on your life; perhaps he or she was a coach, a teacher, a grand-parent, parent or friend. Do you remember what they said that has stayed with you for a lifetime? We remember, Uncle Allen, and his, "service to others" is still our motto, and this website does just that.Read our words carefully and we think you'll agree that we offer a terrific alternative to the hassles, expense and legal entanglements that, too often, come with trade-ins and private sales of used vehicles. |
